Colorado Springs Switchbacks Conclude Strong Second Day of Open Tryouts

Colorado Springs, CO — The Colorado Springs Switchbacks wrapped up a highly productive second day of open tryouts this weekend, as aspiring players from across the region continued to showcase their talent in front of the club’s technical staff.

The session was led by head coach Alan McCann and his coaching team, who worked closely with players through structured drills, competitive sequences, and game-based evaluations designed to identify athletes capable of making the jump to the professional level. The atmosphere at the Switchbacks’ facilities was intense but professional, with every participant pushing to earn serious consideration for future opportunities within the club.

Behind the scenes, the success of the event was equally driven by the strong support network that helped keep operations running smoothly. The Switchbacks Savvy volunteer group played a central role in hosting and assisting players throughout the weekend. Special thanks were extended to G. Crawf (@gcrawf2006), Just Tiff (@just_tiff719), Russ Patterson, and Dukart D. (@dukartd) for organizing refreshments and ensuring that attendees were well taken care of during the long, demanding sessions.

Their efforts, combined with the leadership of Coach McCann and his staff, created an environment that allowed players to focus entirely on performing at their best.

With two days of evaluations now complete, the Switchbacks continue to reinforce their commitment to local and regional player development, offering meaningful pathways for emerging talent to compete for a place in the professional game.
