Defining SCPPNews Experts

Journalists and technicians are highly credible. Technicians are experienced coaches with at least five years of professional soccer playing experience and at least ten years of coaching experience across all levels. Their high credentials and extensive experience allow for expert analyzation, statistics, feedback, and targeted suggestions. Their reading of the game, coach, and players will significantly boost the level of soccer in Colorado.

SCPPNews Expert Qualifications

Journalists and technicians hold minimum qualifications. These include a Master’s or/and Coaching Education Licenses from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) or/and the United Soccer Coaches Association. If a contributor is a technician, they must also meet the minimum professional playing and coaching experience requirements.


2. Journalism and Technician Volunteer Opportunities

SCPPNews is powered entirely by community volunteering. Volunteers write soccer articles or serve as technicians to analyze a club, game, coach, or player. This commitment keeps every tool open and continually expanding for the growth of Colorado soccer and soccer news. SCPPNews always invites journalism students starting from associate level and higher to volunteer. Volunteers write articles, analyze a game, and report on a coach or player. All reports must strictly focus on soccer subjects. Technicians require a minimum of a Master’s degree and a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) license (minimum C license) or a United Soccer Coaches Association (USC) diploma (minimum National Diploma). Interested individuals will find SCPPNews fun and community engaging.


3. SCPPNews and the Coach-Player Idea Lab

The SCPPNews will post news about Coaches and players or student-athletes of all levels. This news can include performance analyzation, statistics, feedback, and suggestions to enhance performance. News may also cover contract signing or breaching. Technicians with high credentials can rank these events. SCPPNews also interviews coaches or players for added insight.

SCPPNews allows any coach or player of any level to build verified profiles and share licenses or experience. They can publish complete training sessions, tactics, and soccer plans in the Coach Idea Lab. Those interested must contact the Director of Communication, news and portfolios build-up.


4. SCPPNews Talent Map and Centralized Tryout Calendar

  • SCPPNews Talent Map: The interactive SCPPNews Talent Map in Colorado allows instant filtering of coaches and players. Filters include age, position, club, school, college, graduation year, and commitment status.
  • Centralized Tryout Calendar: SCPPNews shares every tryout in the state as a news article. This allows clubs calling for a tryout to schedule the event. Players can click and redirect to the club website to apply directly with the club calling for a tryout.

Legal and Policy Statement on Recruitment

Soccer Coaches and Players Portfolios and News (SCPPNews) will be forever a Colorado soccer news platform. SCPPNews will never interfere with any coach-player registration, contract signing or breaching, or any tryout. The platform showcases the event in a news article to the public with transparent and 100% accuracy. SCPPNews brings the opportunity as a news article. Coaches or players determine their decision. SCPPNews will never call or send any email calling for fees.


5. SCPPNews Pipeline Tracking and Community Engagement

  • SCPPNew Pipeline Tracker: Publicly shares every Colorado student-athlete who earns a college soccer roster spot, professional contract, or U.S. National Team call-up.
  • SCPPNews Technician Rankings: Monthly ranking covers high school (1A–5A), youth clubs, collegiate programs of any division, amateur, and professional clubs, including players and coaches. This keeps the entire Colorado soccer community informed.
  • Little Legends (Minors Policy): SCPPNews Little Legends offers simplified, parent-managed Little Legends portfolios for all ages U18 players. This ensures the journey is documented from the very first goal. SCPPNews will never allow a direct submission of any information without parents if a player is under 18. Only parents have the right to send an email. SCPPNews will verify the legitimacy of the parents. News or portfolios are then submitted according to the positive agreement results.

6. SCPPNews Referees’ Performance Lab

SCPPNews will follow Colorado referees of any level. Articles contain all news about their age, level, performance, and game ranking. SCPPNews also includes a monthly ranking of a referee. SCPPNews sets up separate rankings for professional and the rest of the referees. All referees in professional leagues will have a separate monthly ranking.
